When a straight stairlift may be right

Straight stairlifts are generally suitable where the rail can run directly from the bottom of the stairs to the top. They are often quicker to survey, quote and fit than complex curved installations.

• One straight flight of stairs
• No turn or bend in the rail
• Good landing space where possible
• Often the most straightforward quote

Things the survey needs to check

1. Stair width and available clearance.
2. Top and bottom landing space.
3. User height, comfort and safe transfer needs.
4. Any doors, radiators or obstructions near the stairs.
